Connect with your neighbors. Sponsor a weekly prayer walk. Invite your neighbors to join you or to simply share their prayer requests. Pray for your neighbors as you walk by. Let this grow into your house, your living room, your backyard, and your dinner table becoming the center of your evangelism. Sharing our faith doesn't need to be hard and it doesn't need to be structured. Life doesn't happen that way. "In America," Ronald Reagan wrote, "All great change begins at the dinner table." That was true of the Early Church as well. Maybe it's time we took note of what the church did that turned the world upside down. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with attending a local fellowship. I believe you can do both, but there are many who would never darken the doorstep of a local assembly because they don't feel comfortable there. Should they be deprived of the love and fellowship of God's people?
Whether it's streaming our Sunday Service from your living room or favorite coffee shop, from your home-church, or from a participating satellite church, Church Without Walls invites you to break the failing paradigm of a church that is defined by brick and mortar and a calendar. Church is not a when and a where, it's a who, it's the bride of Christ. If you are elderly, or sick, or simply a "recovering Christian" who prefers a safe environment, we invite you to join us on Sunday Mornings or any time of the week that you'd like to stream our service. Church Without Walls is a ministry of Mere Christianity that centers on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Let's put aside our doctrinal differences and praise and worship the Lord Jesus Christ. If the message is meaningful to you, share with a friend, or, better yet, invite them over for a bagel and a coffee.
Has someone you loved walked away from the faith? Have you walked away from the faith but still struggle with sorting it all out? Have you been burned by the Church? Have you been scarred by a rigid upbringing? What if I told you that you don't have to choose between a toxic Christianity and reasonable unbelief? What if Jesus Christ was misrepresented to you? Would you be willing to look at a CAT Scan of your spiritual condition? As a parent whose child has left the faith, are you open to the idea that even though you were well-meaning you may have put an unnecessary obstacle in your child's path? Are you humble enough to ask the question, "What if I was wrong?" If you are, then you're ready to learn what went wrong and how you can play a role in making things right with the "dones" in your life.
